Responsibilities

Community Engagement (CE) Fellows are the life-blood of the Fellowship - without them we couldn't connect with communities. CE Fellows will lead personal conversations with residents in Riverside and Hyde Park to understand their opinions and priorities related to public transportation, affordable housing, and community development. Fellows will be trained and assisted by TCIC on how to have meaningful and safe interactions. CE Fellows enter their survey answers or open conversation summaries into our database to inform our data analysis phase.

Preferred Skills (not required)

  • Comfort engaging with diverse communities and hearing life experiences

  • Previous community engagement work (canvassing, community organizing, etc.)

  • The ability to fluently speak a language other than English is a plus

  • Strong verbal/written interpersonal communication skills

  • Teamwork

  • Academic research

What you will gain
